Movie Detials page Functions and information that is specific to a single movie can be found on the Movie Details page. A movies details are displayed along with a poster/cover image, past and future showtime information, and links to what other sites might have to offer about the movie. Subscribers also have access to user ratings, and the ability to assign a movie a tape number for inclusion on the Tape Collection page.

Outside links This section contains links to other sites with information about a given movie. There are two types of links; search links and hard links.
Search links perform a search for the movie on the target web site. These are generic sites like IMDB.com and the movie channel web sites.
Hard links point to specific pages on other sites. These include fan sites and database sites with specialized focus.
If you know of a site that offers unique or comprehensive information about one or more movies and think we should link to it send us a message using the Contact Us page and we’ll take a look.
Your Take This section is visible only to subscribers.

There are two rating indicators in this section. The first is labeled "Have you seen it?". If you have seen this movie you should rate it from "Hated it!" (red) through "Loved it!" (green). Please note, this rating has nothing what so ever to do with the movie's artistic quality, social importance, style, or anything other than whether or not you liked it. In the future, MoviesOnCable.com will be able to provide customized suggestions by anonymously comparing your likes and dislikes to those of other users.

The second rating indicator is labeled "Do you want to?". Here you mark a movie as "Ignore it" (red), "Might watch it" (yellow), "Don't miss it" (green) or "Alert your friends" (Star).
Marking a movie as "Ignore" allows you to filter it out of your listings and library using the Filter buttons.
Marking it as a "Favorite" allows us to help track that movie’s showtimes for you.
Marking it as "Alert your friends" means, in addition to being treated as a Favorite, anyone you have set up as a Friend will be able to see that you are looking for it and record it and/or save a tape for you.
Finally, marking a movie as "Might watch it" just lets you know that you’ve looked into it and (while it’s not a Favorite) you don’t want to categorically ignore it.

Holding your cursor over any section of either ratings scale will pop-up definitions to remind you of their meanings.
Friends that want to see it If someone has identified you as a friend of theirs using the Friends section of the Preferences screen and they have flagged this movie as “Alert Your Friends” in the Your Take section of the Movie Details screen (by clicking the star in the “Do You Want To” indicator) you will see their name listed here. That way if you have a copy of the movie on tape you’ll know to save it for them… or at least giggle when you record over it!
Friends with a copy
If someone has identified you as a friend of theirs using the Friends section of the Preferences screen you will be able to see if they have a copy of this movie that they are willing to share. They can identify a movie in their library as shared by clicking on the (you guessed it) “shared” check box in the Library Tools section of the Movie Details screen.
Library Tools The first two items in Library Tools are available whether you’re a subscriber or not.
The first is the “Tape Wrapper” button. Clicking on it will bring up a printable video tape cover for the selected movie. It is formatted to be cut out and taped onto a standard VHS video tape slip box or slipped into the plastic sleeve of a clamshell video box.
The second is the “Disc Wrapper” button. Clicking on it will bring up a printable disc sleeve that can be cut out and used as an insert in a jewel case or (through some easy to learn origami) be turned into a paper sleeve to store a disc in.

The remaining buttons and fields are only available to subscribers. They are:

The Add to Library button - Clicking this will log the movie into your online MoviesOnCable.com video Library.
Remove from Library button - You guessed it, this deletes the movie from your Library.
Media Type - This identifies what the movie is recorded on (VHS, DVD, etc)
Library # - If you’re managing a rotating tape pool this field will help you keep track of what movies are on what tapes.
Shared - Allows users that you’ve identified as Friends to see that you’ve got the movie in your Library.
Loaned Out - Using this field allows you to hide movies that are loaned out in your Library view so you can see exactly what you have on hand.
Loaned To - Yep, this is where you type in the name of the person you loaned the movie out to.
Update Fields button - If you change the value in any of the other fields, clicking this button will save your changes.
